Abstract
To meet the severe water pollution status, the facile water quality monitoring technologies are highly demanded. The trace contaminants, such as most heavy metal ions, organic micropollutants, and environmental estrogens, pose heavy side effect on human being and environment.
In this talk, I will review our past research activities in optical biosensor for quantification of trace contaminants in water environment, including two sets of (waveguide- and fiber-based) optical biosensor platforms, biosensing strategies to enhance the sensitivity, stability and reusability when using biological materials (antibody, functional nucleic acid, and estrogen receptor) for solid surface involved bioassay, as well as the practical applications in environmental supervision.
